Improving eInstruction

DALLAS (March 19, 2008) – Pioneer of enhanced electronic classroom learning, the eInstruction Corporation engaged Improving Enterprises to assist in the enhancement of their Classroom Performance System (CPS) software. As providers of state-of-the-art learning solutions, eInstruction sought to partner with a forward-looking service provider such as Improving Enterprises because both companies shared a common foundation of innovation and technology.
The predecessor to the CPS was a system that enabled members of an audience to simultaneously respond to an electronic question posed by a speaker/instructor; the results of that question are then compiled and presented back to the speaker in real-time. eInstruction further developed this concept by designing smaller and more durable hardware, making it more powerful and easier to use. Improving will be assisting eInstruction with the integration of several new devices into their existing automated solution utilizing a variety of technologies including both Java and .Net solutions. In addition, Improving will support eInstruction’s efforts to adopt modern processes and practices related to Agile development.

About the eInstruction Corporation
eInstruction pioneered the first student response system for the education market during the 1980s. Its Classroom Performance System (CPS) provides instructors and students with real-time feedback on comprehension during instruction. Today CPS remains the leading student response system in education, being used with over 1.5 million students in more than 60,000 K-12 classrooms and over 400,000 students in more than 400 colleges and universities. In 2006, eInstruction acquired FSCreations and integrated its ExamView® and Learning Series software and content platforms so instructors can seamlessly use publisher and proprietary question banks in lesson plans, quizzes and tests with eInstruction technology. The result is an integrated system for instruction and assessment with real-time feedback.
