You finally have SharePoint.  Everyone is connected.  Your site structure is established.  You have all the content ready to store… so how do you make sure that everything stays in order?

The answer is workflow.

This one-day workshop is comprised of several workflow exercises, presented in a straightforward, hands-on experience.  With Microsoft Office SharePoint Designer 2007, you can design workflows that add application logic to your site without having to write custom code. Using the Workflow Designer, you create rules that associate conditions and actions with items in Microsoft SharePoint lists and libraries, so that changes to those items can trigger actions in the workflow.  For example, you can design workflows to automate business processes in your enterprise — such as document review, approval, and archiving, among others. Or you can quickly generate workflows just to take care of routine processes on your team site, such as sending notifications or creating tasks.

Audience:

• SharePoint content contributors needing exposure to the SPD workflow interface and real work examples. Those familiar with SharePoint content and use. Basic programming logic is helpful, but not required.
