Ric DeAnda As Vice President of Operations, Mr. DeAnda is responsible for all aspects of the operational and legal affairs of the company and is a member of the company's board of directors. Prior to joining Improving Enterprises, Mr. DeAnda co-founded Expede, Inc. in 1998, that later merged into Valtech Technologies, Inc. in early 1999. Here he served in various senior level positions, culminating in Vice President of North American Operations. Over this 8 year period Mr. DeAnda assisted Valtech’s CEO Curtis Hite, in buying and integrating both domestic and international companies, as well as, establishing software development centers in the U.S. Before co-founding Expede, Mr. DeAnda served as the Director of Human Resources in the critical start up phase for ObjectSpace, Inc., an advanced software technology consulting and training firm. There he established the Human Resources function and was integral in the recruitment of key technical staff and senior level executives. Prior to ObjectSpace, Mr. DeAnda was part of the Microsoft experience where he was instrumental in establishing the Latin American Technical Account Management Division, supporting Mexico, Venezuela, Argentina, Guatemala, Brazil and Puerto Rico. He started his career at NTS, a division of PHH Corporation, where he held several positions with increasing levels of responsibility over a 10 year period, including Production Control Analyst, Data Center Supervisor, Support Systems Manager, Assistant Data Center Manager, and Human Resources Manager.
Todd Girvin As Vice President, Mr. Girvin is responsible for the technical vision and development of the Learning Services practice and is a member of the company's board of directors. Mr. Girvin co-founded Improving Enterprises in August, 2004. He brings a history of executive management experience and technical expertise. As a Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) and Microsoft Certified Professional Developer (MCPD), he contributes to the technical direction of the company and evangelizes its professional services through community involvement with the International Association of Software Architects, Agile Project Leadership Network, DFW SharePoint User Group, Dallas C# SIG, among others. Prior to Improving, Mr. Girvin was VP of Product Delivery at One Technologies, COO at OptiView Technologies, and VP of Product Development at Roku Technologies. He started his career as a Technology Consultant and spent five years as Principal Technologist and Technical Director at ObjectSpace.
Curtis Hite As CEO and Chairman of the board of directors, Mr. Hite is responsible for the strategic direction of the company. Mr. Hite co-founded Expede, Inc. in 1998 which was merged with Valtech Technologies, Inc. in early 1999. He held the positions of VP Professional Services, VP Central Region/CFO, and President/CEO of North American Operations while at Valtech. Although Mr. Hite has a strong business record in mergers and acquisitions, he also fosters an environment of creativity and loyalty from his co-workers. Prior to his positions with Valtech Technologies, Inc., Mr. Hite was a Chief Software Architect from 1994 to 1998 at Raytheon. This knowledge, along with his Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Computer Science from Texas A&M University, gives Mr. Hite a strong technical knowledge of his business units. Texas A&M University recognized him in 2007 as the Distinguished Alumni in Computer Science. This was due to his establishment and implementation of the new concept of Rural Software Development Centers in College Station, Texas. By leveraging the academic and technical talent Texas A&M offers the development community, Mr. Hite and his team have been able to create rural development centers to fill a gap in the market. He was also recognized in 2006 by the CEO Institute as the Dallas Christian Businessman of the Year.
Jef Newsom As Vice President, Mr. Newsom is responsible for the technical vision and Evangelism of the Learning Services practice and is a member of the company's board of directors. Mr. Newsom co-founded Improving Enterprises in August, 2004. Mr. Newsom is a seasoned technical professional with successful startup experience and an industry recognized technical expert. Mr. Newsom is a highly sought-after Microsoft Certified Architect (MCA), Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT), and Microsoft Certified Professional Developer (MCPD). Before co-founding Improving, Jef was a Principal Technologist at Geniant, FPix, and ObjectSpace.
Barry Rogers As Vice President of Professional Services, Mr. Rogers is responsible for the development of the Professional Services practice and is a member of the company's board of directors. Prior to joining Improving Enterprises, Mr. Rogers co-founded Expede, Inc. in 1998, that later merged into Valtech Technologies, Inc. in early 1999. He helped grow the company from a 10 person start up to a publicly held, internationally known company of more than 1,000 employees. As SVP, Mr. Rogers was responsible for the North American Professional Services Business Unit. This included the responsibility for the leadership of the Software Delivery team, which consisted of more than 100 software engineers, and the Recruitment and Sales teams. Prior to his position with Valtech, Mr. Rogers served in various senior management roles from 1984 to 1998 at Raytheon Corporation. Mr. Rogers distinguished himself by founding and leading Raytheon’s Object Technology Center of Excellence. Mr. Rogers holds a Bachelors degree in Computer Science from Tulane University.
