Wes Moulder

Wes started his career at Texas A&M University, studying Computer Science and Russian.  Still wet behind the ears, he moved to Dallas, with no real plan for the future.  While doing tech support at CompUSA, he met Rhett Guthrie, who brought him on board at Axys Solutions.  While at Axys, he learned that raw application of intelligence is not always sufficient to solving the problems we have to address.  Through Axys, he started a journey into how to build software systems using lean, pragmatic design.

From Axys, he started working with Graham Glass at The Mind Electric. The Mind Electric showed him that a small team relentlessly dedicated to simple software can outperform a much larger team.  When webMethods acquired TME, he moved to Virginia, determined to take over the world. Floating high on the success of the work with Glue and Fabric, reality soon came crashing back in as the start up culture from TME clashed with the more laid back culture from webMethods.  With a second child on the way, in a state far from his family support system, and less of a drive to solve the problems at webMethods, Wes returned to Dallas, where he started working for byteCrafters.  Again on a small team, dedicated to lean, simple, and pragmatic solutions, he learned a valuable lesson that there is a right tool for every job.

Wes finds himself again among a team of intelligent people with a culture dedicated to doing the right thing.  The camaraderie is amazing, the team shares the same values, and a good time is had while still rising to any challenge put forth.
