Improving. It’s what we do. ™
Improving Enterprises, Inc. is a Microsoft® Gold Certified Partner that provides IT consulting, project outsourcing, training and networked recruiting to medium and large companies.
History
Improving Enterprises, Inc. is the result of the merger of Improving Enterprises LLC and Blue Ocean Group, Inc. Improving Enterprises LLC was founded in 2004 by Jef Newsom and Todd Girvin as a Microsoft training company. Within 18 months of its inception, Improving Enterprises LLC achieved Microsoft Gold Partner status. As recognized technical professionals, both Newsom and Girvin frequently write about and present Microsoft-related topics.
Blue Ocean Group, Inc. was established in 2006 by Curtis Hite, Barry Rogers, and Ric DeAnda as a high-end technology services firm with a focus on consulting and project outsourcing. The management team has successfully established, grown, and sold several technology companies and has developed a reputation as thought leaders in the Dallas business community. Moreover, the managers are practitioners of blue ocean value innovation strategy and apply this strategy on a regular basis to projects they work on as well as for the companies they manage.
In January 2007, the two entities merged to form Improving Enterprises, Inc., combining the established training, consulting, and project management capabilities of each to maximize revenue from each client. The success of this merger is evidenced by phenomenal growth of nearly 2,000 percent as of 2011. The Company’s success is further validated through the recognition it has received from numerous business and trade publications such as the Dallas Business Journal and Inc. magazine.
In December 2010, Improving Enterprises, Inc. acquired Columbus-based The Sophic Group, Inc., expanding its reach into the Midwest United States. Similar to Improving Enterprises, The Sophic Group received Inc 500 and Best Places to Work awards. The companies’ service offerings are very closely aligned with a focus on Agile, Microsoft (.Net), and Java application development services.
